Health Centers (Clinics)

SCHD's various Health Centers (clinics) provide medical, dental, and other health care services for county residents under age 55.  Each Health Center is geared toward a specific group of people.  Health Centers include:

• Adult Health (for men and women aged 18-54)
• Women's Health (for women, pregnant women, and mothers)
• Children's Health (health care and immunizations for children under 18)
• Teen Health
• Dental Care
• Family Planning

Seniors (those 55 and over) should contact the Senior Friendship Center for health care services. 

Services Available at the Health Department

SCHD provides the community with a variety of health services.

• Health Education
  Including Healthy Start & HIV/AIDS certification training
• HIV/AIDS services
  HIV Tests, case management, medical & pharmacy services, education
• Immunizations (Shots / Vaccinations)

• Screenings & Tests
  Cancer, HIV, STDs, pregnancy
• Specialty (Follow-Up) Medical Care
• STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) Services
  
• WIC Nutrition Program

Environmental Health Services

SCHD performs and oversees many services to ensure the health of the community through its environment.  These include:

• Inspections & licensing of public places & resources
• Mosquito Management
• Public water, septic systems, & wells
