The Medical Reserve Corps is a national volunteer program that trains local medical and non-medical professionals to assist public health and emergency services in response to large-scale weather or disease-related disaster events. There are more than 900 locally registered MRC units through the United States. The Medical Reserve Corps of Sarasota County is one of 33 such units in Florida. The Florida Medical Reserve Corps Network covers 60 of Florida’s 67 counties.
